Band of Brothers...
Wat started off as a bad day eventually turned well... Initially I was supposed 2 go sentosa 2 play vball de... Bt because of sum hiccups, the outing was cancelled... Obviously I was pissed because I cancelled a job offer dat is fun and payz quite well as it clashes on that day, and den I rejected 2 go 2 a kelong trip in M'sia wif my new colleagues! Hw often do a grp of people get 2 go 2 a kelong ritez!! N I was so looking forward 2 the sentosa trip cos it has been a veri veri long time since we all played vball 2gether le!! Anw... was damn irritated by the decision and hw events unfolded so i decided 2 hit the gym b4 I went 2 meet my brothers...
Actually I guess I had 2 tink my day 2 my OC.. Wait... Y m i still calling him dat?? K will call him Kelvin from now on... Anw although I dont see eye 2 eye with him on many issues when I was still stuck in the island, I guess I muz thank him for making my day... Cos if he hadn't treated us 2 lunch(Or rather high tea) at sum hotel, I firmly believe that the perm staff of the whole company (Be it seniors or juniors) wld not have come 2 an agreement on where n when 2 meet up etc... So thanks alot Kelvin!! N congrats on ur promotion... =)...
Seriously, I didnt noe, or rather bliff, that I would miss the whole group so much... I noe it sounds veri weird, to see tiz coming out from a guy hu iz like rather cold at times... But these are the people hu has stuck by wif mi tru thick and thin for the past 18 mths... Heck, I even see dem more often den my own family members!! These are my frenz... These are my brothers....
Assessing the quality of the food wif respect 2 the price, it is still so-so ba... Tasted better but still quite ok... The food may b average, but the comapny was excellent!! No one has changed much from wat I remember... Haa Squirrel is still squirrel... His actions and words look adn sound like a small boy still... Fad iz still the same 2... So goes for Cen and CC... Nas is still failing his TP... Haha Even Pong is still the same!!! As lame as ever!!! It is in such company that I was reminded y I almost signed on wif the Army...
And after a couple of hours of reminiscing and checking hw everyone has been since dey leaft the Army, or hw is the state of the company now, the group of 35 slowly dwindled to 7 of us due 2 some appointments dey had... So dere we were, Pong, Darren, CS, Wes, Fad, Squirrel and mi... Walking ard and juz fooling ard... Talking abt watz gg 2 happen 2 us for the next few mths... And also talking abt the next time we all go clubbing again!!! Haha!!! Hopefully no one gets drunk tiz time!!!
Halfway tru, CC's gfren came 2 meet him... Walauz it iz really impossible 2 bliff it manz!! His gfren looks damn guai larz!! Like those studious studious kind de!! CC win liaoz lor... Dunno hw u managed 2 trick her in2 believing u r a guai kia lor... Anw the 2 of u look quite cute 2gether ^_^ !!!!
After that, Fad went 2 buy a tie at G2000... First he picked a tie and said it will look nice on a white shirt, cos he had 2 wear a white shirt n tie at his ceremony in SMU, den he went 2 choose other colours... Den he asked everyone for our opinion n wat we tink he shd buy... Den whatever suggestions came out, he will say sumting n will politely decline... Den after 30 mins of being in dat shop, he finally decided on a tie... The same 1 he picked up in the 1st place!!! Argh I knew it!!!!
Den as we walk on, Darren saw a poster for the 10km run at sentosa... The New Balance Run... "Ey u wan join anot?? I in camp now no one run wif mi"... "Can! U onz i onz!"... I tink we are mad... Cos AHM iz like on the 27th Aug... And the New Balance Run iz on the 20th!! And we hafta run on sand!! Jialat muz train all over again... Tink I m gg sentosa or East Coast 2 run over the weekend... Haha...
And so the 7 dwindled into 4... And we all seperated at abt 930pm cos dey had 2 book in...
When everyting is done and dusted.... Tiz iz arguably the best day I had for the month.. PEGASUS WOOHAH!! =)
